Jiiva, (referred earlier as Jeeva, born Amar B Choudary on January 4, 1984), is an Indian Film Actor, Producer, and Philanthropist.
Jiiva began his career as a Child artist in the year 1991. Though he made his official debut in 2003 with Aasai Aasaiyai, he rose to prominence on his 3rd film Raam. The movie was critically acclaimed with praise for his performance and was screened at Goa International Film Festival and Cyprus International Film Festival where he won the Best Actor Award. Till date, he has acted in around 25 plus films, several of them earning him with recognition for portraying diverse roles including a slum dweller in E (2006), a Sociopath in Katradhu Tamizh (2007), a photojournalist in Ko (2011), a god -fearing Engineering student in Nanban (2012), a martial artist in Mugamoodi (2012).

Jiiva was born on 4 January 1984 in Chennai to R. B. Choudary, renowned film producer, and Mahjabeen. He is the youngest of four brothers; Suresh Choudary (Co – Producer in their home banner – Super Good Films), Second brother Jeevan Choudary (Entrepreneur of Steel Company), Jithan Ramesh Choudary (Film Actor, producer). His father, R B Choudary, is a noted independent south Indian film producer (Super Good Films) who has been a launchpad for now-famous directors and actors.
As a Child actor, Jiiva first appeared on screen in minor roles in Perum Pulli (1991) and Cheran Pandiyan (1991), under his father’s production.
Jiiva married his childhood friend Supriya, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony on 21 November 2007 in New Delhi. The two first met in 1994 while studying in a School in T Nagar. They have a son Sparsh.
Ever since his childhood, the actor has been an ardent follower of Cricket and Martial art. Prior making his debut into films, Jiiva underwent training and learnt Gymnastics and Mansuria Kung-Fu for close to 5 years.
